Synopsis

Yahoo!'s leading mobile offerings are built on Yahoo! Blueprint, enabling them to run on thousands of devices globally. Yahoo! Blueprint is open to third-party developers, allowing anyone to develop content across thousands of devices including BlackBerry, Nokia, and Motorola. Yahoo! creates the runtimes, carrier partnerships, user design models, and millions of users around the world. Take advantage of Yahoo!'s established relationships and reach in mobile to bring your content to new audiences.

Yahoo! Blueprint can also be used to build standalone applications for Java, Windows Mobile, and Symbian devices. It can also help create mobile web sites accessible via virtually any HTML or xHTML

Alex Linde was an integral part of the team that created Yahoo!'s Mobile Developer Platform and will share his industry experience in designing, developing and launching mobile widgets. He will also explain why an open platform is an essential tool in reducing mobile industry fragmentation, which until now has impeded industry innovation.
